Chateau Haut-Brion, a first-growth wine estate in Pessac-Leognan on the southern side of the city of Bordeaux, put its 2019 wine on sale at 282 euros ($321) a bottle in bond ex-negociant, down 30.9% from the release price for its 2018 vintage, according to London-based online wine market Liv-ex. The price compared with 408 euros for its 2018 wine, Liv-ex said.

The Domaine also owns neighboring Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion as well as the newly created Chateau Quintus in Saint Emilion. Haut-Brion is as noted for its white wines as its reds, and prices for rarer vintages of the whites frequently exceed those for the red wines.Haut-Brion's standout red wine over the past 30 years was its 1989 vintage, as reflected in its consistently high auction prices.
