Bordeaux Share of Liv-ex Trade Drops to 51% in Late July From 63% in June

Bordeaux's share of trading on the London-based Liv-ex online wine market dropped to 51 percent in the week to July 27 from 56 percent the previous week and 63 percent over the whole of June, according to a Talking Trade post on Liv-ex.com.

Burgundy slipped to 12 percent last week from 13 percent a week earlier and 16 percent in June, while Champagne's 18 percent share, although down from 19 percent a week earlier, contrasted with just 10 percent in June, Liv-ex said. Italian wine was in demand, with its share of trade rising to 9 percent over the past week from 5 percent a week earlier and 4 percent in June. The Rhone and U.S. each accounted for 2 percent.
