Chinese investor SCEA Degore has bought Chateau de Lagorce, an AOC Bordeaux wine estate in Targon in Bordeaux's Entre Deux Mers region, with the aim of distributing the wines to existing clients as well as outlets in China, according to a statement from VineyardsBordeaux. The seller, Benjamin Mazeau, inherited the property in 1985 and has run the estate with his wife Beatrice for the past three decades. It dates back to the Gallo-Roman era and has been owned by the family since 1928. The estate has a total area of 69 hectares, with about 43 hectares of vines in production, according to the statement.
