Neal Martin, who joined Robert Parker's Wine Advocate in 2006 and who has been responsible for its Bordeaux and Burgundy coverage since Parker stepped back from rating Bordeaux en primeur wines, is leaving to join former colleague Antonio Galloni at Vinous, a publication Galloni founded in 2013. Martin, who published a book on Pomerol in 2012, will work with Galloni on Bordeaux and with Stephen Tanzer on Burgundy, according to an email from Vinous, while he will also write on the wines of South Africa and New Zealand for the publication. The move, effective from February 2018, marks a significant addition to the team of critics at Vinous, which now also includes Josh Raynolds, Ian D'Agata and David Schildknecht.
