Beychevelle's New Winery Gets Into Gear Handling "Very Good" 2016 Harvest

Chateau Beychevelle has become the latest in a series of Bordeaux estates to invest extensively in plant and equipment, getting its new winery into gear handling the 2016 harvest. Some of the 55 stainless steel tanks encased in glass walls are visible to drivers on the D2 road wending its way past the Saint Julien estate, and director Philippe Blanc says the improved facility, which will add another four tanks next year, has come on line just in time to handle what he described as a "very good harvest" after difficult weather conditions earlier in the summer.
