Christie's Selling Washington-to-Carter Vintage Cognacs, Armagnacs

Thirty-nine bottles of vintage Cognac and Armagnac dating back to 1789 and spanning every U.S. presidential term from George Washington to Jimmy Carter go on sale at Christie's New York next month, with a top estimate for the lot of $150,000. The bottles include Courvoisier 1884, Marnier-Lapostolle 1865 and Pierre Chabanneau 1850, according to an e-mailed statement from Christie's.
