Around the Estate
The property is situated in the heart of the village of Issan, and its vineyards border those of Chateau Margaux and Chateau Rauzan Segla,
Palmer's new winery, completed in March 2013, has 54 stainless steel tanks to enable a complex blending from its various parcels. Its wines are aged between 18 and 21 months in barrels, with less than half the vintage exposed to new oak.
The winery required an investment of 9 million euros and the installation took three years.
Winemaker Thomas Duroux has also been overseeing biodynamic certification of the estate, which took effect in 2014.
